Pamela Penney Textile Arts creates unique, hand-crafted art-to-wear and accessories for women and children. These timeless designs incorporate a wide variety of techniques including: hand-loom knitted fabric, felting, hand-dyed and painted fabrics, hand knits, crochet, free-motion machine embroidery, and beadwork. Recent creations have included felted recycled wool and recycled denim. Pam also creates needle-woven jewelry and accessories.

Although Pam's primary focus is on wearable art, she also creates beautiful mixed-media art work. These pieces include wall pieces as well as decorative accessories for the home.

In 2003 textile artist, Pamela Penney, moved her studio location into the Oak Park Arts District.  After 4 years at 41 Harrison she has recently re-located her studio to 130 Harrison.  The move has made it possible for her to extend her retail hours as well as the class offerings in the studio.

Being involved in the community is very important to Pam and as the current vice president of the Harrison Street Business Alliance she is active in promoting the district and planning the district events.  She has also recently become a board member for the Oak Park Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Designs by Pamela Penney Textile Arts are also available through other gallery and boutique locations including: The Illinois Artisan Shop on the 2nd level of the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago and the Oak Park Visitors Center
